Usman Khawaja has continued to build his case for a subcontinent Test berth, scoring a record-breaking third straight century for Glamorgan in the county championship.
The elegant left-hander made 103 off 140 balls as Glamorgan produced a first-innings total of 254 against Northamptonshire in Cardiff.
The ton, following scores of 125 and 126, makes Khawaja the first Glamorgan player ever to score three centuries in his first three matches for the county.
The Queenslander's feat is all the more impressive given he had little time to prepare for the beginning of the county season.
"There were a few ifs and buts whether I could get here in time because I was waiting for a visa in India," he told BBC Sport.
"I got here with not much time to spare before my first game, got that first hundred and it's nice it's flowed on from there and I'm having fun in the middle."
Australia are set to play two Tests against Pakistan in the United Arab Emirates in October.
Khawaja's poor record on the subcontinent means he is no certainty to be picked for the tour but his strong run of county form should help his cause.
The 31-year-old carried the drinks during Australia's tour of India last year and was dropped after one Test during the series in Bangladesh.
He was also snubbed for Australia's recent one-day international series in England.
Khawaja will represent Australia A during a tour of India later this winter along with Mitch Marsh, Peter Handscomb and Matt Renshaw.
