Kidman and Law to reunite on big screen

Nicole Kidman and Jude Law will appear together in the Thomas Wolfe biopic, Genius.

British actor Jude Law will reunite with Australian actress Nicole Kidman in the Thomas Wolfe biopic.

Law has stepped in to replace Michael Fassbender as American novelist Wolfe in the film.

Fassbender initially signed on to portray the You Can't Go Home Again author in Genius in 2012, but he has since exited the project and Law has been cast in his place, according to Variety.

He will appear alongside Kidman and Colin Firth, who will play editor Max Perkins in the film about the two men's relationship during the early 1900s.

The movie will be based on A. Scott Berg's award-wining biography Max Perkins: Editor of Genius.

Production on the drama is set to begin in August.

Kidman and Law played lovers in the 2003 American Civil War film Cold Mountain based on the bestselling novel of the same name by Charles Frazier.
