The six-year-old was reported missing from her Mt Druitt home, in Sydney's west, on August 1 last year.

The identity of the skeletal remains discovered on Friday will be confirmed through a post-mortem examination.

On Saturday night, hundreds of people held a candlelight vigil outside Kiesha's home, placing Easter bunnies, stuffed toys and other items along the front fence.
