Five teenagers have been arrested for an alleged vicious anti-Semitic attack on a group of Jewish schoolchildren on a bus in Sydney.
Police say the teens were arrested in Dover Heights at about 3.30am on Thursday.
They have been released into the custody of their parents as investigations continue.
On Wednesday afternoon, a group of eight teens boarded a bus full of children, aged between five and 12, in Randwick which was headed to Bondi Junction, police say.
The mother of three of the children says the group started screaming anti-Semitic abuse.
Jacqui Blackburn has told The Daily Telegraph her three terrified daughters called her saying: "Please help us mummy, there's eight drunk men that have just been let onto our school bus.
"They're screaming, `heil Hitler, kill the Jews ... we're going to cut your throats' ... then the phone cut off."
Another mother, Isabelle Stanton, whose two daughters boarded at Mount Sinai College in Maroubra, said the teens threatened the children physically and verbally.
They also said: "F*** Israel. Free Palestine", she told The Daily Telegraph.
Her eight-year-old Noa Stanton was at the back of the bus and said the children were "panicking and crying".
NSW Communities Minister Victor Dominello said he was deeply disturbed by the reports.
"We've been so lucky in this country that we have not had so much blood shed that we've seen overseas and in order to avoid that happening we must continue to condemn any racial attacks that we see in this country," he said.
Jewish schools said they would provide guardians on school buses on Thursday.
The president of the NSW Jewish Board of Deputies, Yair Miller, says support will be offered for the children, and guardians will travel on school buses.
"This abuse is totally unacceptable, especially against the most vulnerable in our society being primary-aged children," he told ABC Radio.
Students from Mount Sinai, Moriah College in Queens Park and Emanuel School in Randwick were reportedly the victims of the verbal and physical abuse on Wednesday.
