The New York Knicks capitalised on a predictably exhausted Chicago side to record their best start to the season in three years.
The Bulls, who backed up from a quadruple-overtime loss to Detroit on Friday night and didn't arrive in New York until 4am on Saturday morning, led 12-2 early before capitulating to a 16-point loss.
The visitors shot just 37-of-94 from the field while the starting backcourt of Jimmy Butler and Derrick Rose, who combined for 77 points in 110 minutes Friday, made just 7-of-21 shots as a tandem in the 107-91 loss.
"Everybody felt it tonight," said Rose, who scored six points on 3-of-10 shooting. "I think everybody gave it their all, at least what they had, and just didn't have it tonight."
The Knicks, who recorded a comfortable victory at nearby Philadelphia on Friday night, played well to make the most of the Bulls' dreariness.
Carmelo Anthony scored 27 points while Arron Afflalo added 18 points for the Knicks (14-14), who matched their longest winning streak of the season and climbed back to .500 for the first time since early December.
It marks the latest point New York have been at .500 since the 2012-13 season, the last time they made the playoffs.
Elsewhere, Kevin Durant scored 22 points and Turkey's Enes Kanter added 19 and 14 rebounds against the Los Angeles Lakers as Oklahoma City won for the seventh time in eight games. The Lakers rested Kobe Bryant in the 118-78 mauling.
Dwight Howards also put on 22 points and 14 rebounds for Houston, who gave the Los Angeles Clippers their second straight loss, 107-97.
John Wall was Washington's best contributor in their 109-101 victory over Charlotte, while Memphis stopped a two-game skid when the by beat Indiana 96-84.
