Kohli's long list of run-ins with Aussies

Virat Kohli has a long history of run-ins with Australians - be they in the stand or on the park.

CAPTAIN CANTANKEROUS: KOHLI'S COLOURFUL CLASHES WITH AUSTRALIANS

Jan, 2012 SCG: Fined half his match fee for giving the finger to the SCG crowd during his maiden Test tour of Australia. "I agree cricketers don't have to retaliate. What when the crowd says the worst things about your mother and sister? The worst I've heard," Kohli posted on Twitter.

Nov, 2014 Adelaide Oval: Fined 30 per cent of his Test match fee for approaching then arguing with Steve Smith, who had mocked Rohit Sharma's unsuccessful lbw appeal.

Dec, 2014 MCG: Scored 169 and swapped barbs with Mitchell Johnson and Brad Haddin throughout the Test innings, quipping, "You guys hate me and I like that". In the ensuing press conference he declared he didn't respect some Australians and claimed they found it "very hard" to stay calm.

Jan, 2016 MCG: Had a run-in with allrounder James Faulkner during an ODI. Responding to some niggle, Kohli snapped "You're wasting your energy. There's no point. I've smashed you enough in my life. Just go and bowl".

Jan, 2016 Adelaide Oval: Gave Smith, who had been conducting a mid-game interview with Channel Nine, a memorable send-off in a Twenty20. "I don't think you need to do that kind of thing when someone gets out ... I don't really think that's on. He gets pretty emotional," Smith said.

March, 2017 M. Chinnaswamy Stadium: Had a near-constant verbal battle with Smith in a spiteful Test. Also sledged Matt Renshaw and other Australians. Straddled the line of dissent following a failed review and all but accused Australia of cheating in a vitriolic press conference, where he also clipped Ian Healy and Nathan Lyon.
