Kolkata to host first India-Sri Lanka Test

The first of a three-Test series between India and Sri Lanka will be staged at Kolkata's Eden Gardens.

Eden Gardens will host the opener when India host Sri Lanka in a three-Test series starting next month in Kolkata.

India blanked Sri Lanka 9-0 across all three formats earlier this year on their tour.

The first Test starts on November 16, while Nagpur and Delhi will host the second and third Tests respectively.

The sides will play three one-day and thre Twenty20 internationals.

* November 16-20 - first Test, Kolkata

* November 24-28 - second Test, Nagpur

* December 2-6 - third Test, Delhi

* December 10 - first ODI, Dharamsala

* December 13 - second ODI, Mohali

* December 17 - third ODI, Visakhapatnam

* December 20 - first T20, Cuttack

* December 22 - second T20, Indore

* December 24 - third T20, Mumbai
