Croatian teen Ana Konjuh will take on American Lauren Davis for the ASB Classic title after defeating Julia Goerges 6-3 4-6 6-3.
In comparison to Davis' error-strewn semi-final win, Goerges and Konjuh both looked in top condition in Auckland, nailing their service games and playing with gusto.
But it was the hard-hitting 19-year-old who eventually emerged on top, with Goerges struggling to counter her opponent's service game.
The German was first to buckle, broken by Konjuh at 3-2 and going on to lose the first set 6-3.
With everything on the line in the second set, last year's Classic runner-up lifted, playing the powerful forehands that gave her a win over Caroline Wozniacki in the quarter-finals.

Breaking Konjuh and racing out to a 4-1 lead, Goerges survived a broken game and plenty of jitters to secure the set 6-4 on the back of a Konjuh double fault.
But the third set was ultimately Konjuh's to claim, nabbing an early break before snaring another break in the final game to emerge victorious.
