Kony victims try to rebuild their lives

Among the many victims of Ugandan warlord Joseph Kony are his slave brides, whose children will grow up with the burden of having Kony as their father.

He's evaded capture for decades. But Joseph Kony's days could be numbered as the hunt intensifies for the Ugandan warlord.

Kony's infamous Lord's Resistance Army (LRA) is also on the run after terrorising the region for decades, abducting local people and enslaving their children. As more abductees are being rescued from the LRA, the challenge now is to help them rebuild their lives.

But the legacy of the LRA atrocities haunts its victims, particularly women, reports CNN's Nima Elbagir.

One lady in Uganda was abducted at the age of 13 and forced into marriage with Joseph Kony. As a Kony 'slave bride' she gave birth to two children, who are growing up with the burden of Joseph Kony as their father.
