Korean Olympic hero Jin's Asian Games jinx goes on

The 38-year-old, competing at his fifth Asian Games, finished second in the qualification round and shot a total of 178.4 before being eliminated in a shoot-off with China's Wu Jiayu.

Jin won gold in the 10m event at the 2012 London Games, with his other three Olympic titles coming in the 50m pistol discipline, which does not feature at the 18th Asian Games.

Jin has won three Asian Games gold medals in team events.

While the Korean veteran faded, 16-year-old Indian Saurabh Chaudhary won the event with a score of 240.7.

Son of a farmer, Chaudhary shot 586 to top the qualification round and maintained his form in the final for a dream Asian Games debut.

Japan's Tomoyuki Matsuda (239.7) won the silver while Abhishek Verma's (219.3) bronze ensured India won two medals in the same shooting event for the first time at an Asian Games.
