KP, Rossouw bail on Karachi T20 final

Several international stars won't play the final of the Pakistan Super League, citing security concerns.

Security concerns have seen several international players decide not to play in the final of the Pakistan Super League in Lahore.

So far all the matches have been played in the United Arab Emirates but the final is scheduled to be played in Pakistan, which has endured a large number of deadly attacks and bombings in recent weeks that have killed 130 people.

Kevin Pietersen is the highest profile name to withdraw from the match for the Quetta Gladiators, while big-hitting South African Rilee Rossouw will also give it a miss.

"For those still unsure it's with a sad heart that I must announce that I will not be taking part in the final," Rossouw tweeted.

England's Luke Wright and Tymal Mills have also pulled out with Wright indicating a game of cricket is simply not worth it.

"It's with a heavy heart I will not be coming to Lahore," all-rounder Wright said. "I have a young family and for me a game of cricket is just not worth the risk.

"I'm sorry as I know how much it means to you all and hopefully in the future the safety will not be in doubt to come (and) play there."

Pakistan has only entertained Zimbabwe, in 2015, since a shooting attack on the Sri Lanka team bus in 2009.
