The Queensland Reds have named a settled side for Friday night's must-win Super Rugby clash against the Western Force.

With the Reds fresh from the bye, coach Nick Stiles has made only one change to the starting side that beat the Melbourne Rebels two weeks ago, with Chris Kuridrani replacing Campbell Magnay (concussion) on the wing.

Meanwhile, backs trio James Tuttle, Jake McIntyre and Lachlan Maranta have been brought in on the bench for Moses Sorovi, Hamish Stewart and Izaia Perese.

The Reds have to beat the Force at Suncorp Stadium to remain a realistic chance of topping the Australian conference and qualifying for the Super Rugby finals.

"We felt we've made a lot of progress as a group in recent weeks and are really starting to hit our stride, but it doesn't get any easier this week," Stiles said.

"We know the Force will come into this match desperate for a win.

"We need to match that desperation and desire for 80 minutes and if we do that, we should produce a performance we can be proud of."

Queensland Reds: Karmichael Hunt, Chris Kuridrani, Samu Kerevi (capt), Duncan Paia'aua, Eto Nabuli, Quade Cooper, Nick Frisby, Scott Higginbotham, George Smith, Hendrik Tui, Lukhan Tui, Rob Simmons, Sam Talakai, Stephen Moore, Sef Fa'agase. Reserves: Alex Mafi, Kirwan Sanday, Taniela Tupou, Izack Rodda, Adam Korczyk, James Tuttle, Jake McIntyre, Lachlan Maranta.
