Kylie Minogue's Kiss Me Once has shot to No.1 on the ARIA albums chart pushing out GIRL by Pharrell Williams, a collaborator on the pop singer's 12th studio album.

Kiss Me Once is the first Australian album to debut in the top spot this year and Minogue's fourth album to reach No.1, following Light Years in 2000, Fever in 2001, and X in 2007.

"Big kisses to all my amazing Aussie fans for giving me my fourth #1 album!" the singer said in a statement. "I can't wait to come home in April to celebrate!"

The album features guests such as Sia Furler, Enrique Iglesias, and Williams, who worked with Minogue on the third track I Was Gonna Cancel.

Williams' album drops down to number three this week with INXS' compilation The Very Best keeping its No.2 spot.

Foster The People, the American indie-pop trio behind the hit Pumped Up Kicks, also make their debut, landing in eighth place with their new album Supermodel.
