Nick Kyrgios' warm-up to the Australian Open will include the Fast4 tennis exhibition in Sydney.

The Australian, who beat world No.1 Rafael Nadal in the format last year, will headline the January 8 event with Grigor Dimitrov and Alexander Zverev, ranked third and fourth in the world respectively.

The Fast4 tournament sees modified rules to shorten matches, including playing lets and no advantage scores, while sets are won by the player who first wins four games, with tiebreaks at 3-3.

"Fast4 is a bit different to what we usually face on tour. It brings the pressure points or big points earlier which is fun to play," world No.21 Kyrgios said.

As well as playing in the short-form tournament at Sydney's Olympic Park, Kyrgios will contest the Brisbane International ahead of the season's first grand slam in Melbourne starting on January 15.
