Labor has conceded defeat in the central Queensland seat of Capricornia.
Labor candidate Peter Freeleagus has accepted the seat has gone to the Liberal National Party's Michelle Landry.
Mr Freeleagus says despite leading the count since Saturday, postal votes have been flowing to the LNP.
"People on the ground are indicating that probably we could've waited another day, but as I've always said, the urban vote always goes to the ballot box and the rural vote always goes in an envelope," he told ABC Radio.
"We didn't have enough votes up our sleeve."
