Labor in trouble in Queensland: poll

The latest opinion poll taken in Queensland shows Labor is losing ground and is unlikely to pick up any extra seat's in Saturday's election.

Bill Shorten's efforts to win over Queensland voters may have been in vain with Labor unlikely to pick up any extra seats in Saturday's election, new polling shows.

The Galaxy poll of 400 voters conducted on the weekend after the Brexit result, commissioned by Labor, shows Labor's primary vote falling by three per cent with most of this shifting to the LNP, the Courier-Mail reported on Wednesday.

Moreton and Griffith are at risk and the party's hopes of picking up the ultra-marginal north Brisbane seat of Petrie and the central Queensland seats of Capricornia, Flynn and Dawson have been rocked by the poll.
