Labor make small gain in marginal NSW seat

NSW Labor have clawed back just 0.4 per cent in the state's most marginal seat, bringing them even with the coalition less than three weeks from the election.

NSW's most marginal seat is deadlocked just weeks out from the state election, with recent polling indicating Labor has gained less than half a per cent in the western Sydney electorate.

The ultra-marginal seat of East Hills is balanced at 50-50, according to polling commissioned by the Daily Telegraph published on Monday.

While Labor has clawed back just 0.4 per cent in the government-held seat, the party has made bigger gains in another Sydney electorate.

Labor has received an 8.5 per cent swing in the high-density electorate of Ryde, where almost half of the respondents listed urban development or infrastructure projects as their most important issues ahead of the March 23 poll.
