The South Australian Labor government has promised TAFE an extra $100 million for training places if returned at Saturday's election.

South Australia's TAFE system will get a $100 million cash injection to train people for jobs in key growth industries if Labor wins Saturday's state election.

Premier Jay Weatherill says the funding boost will create at least 18,000 training places.

"Labor will invest millions of dollars in training to make sure our young people are equipped with the skills to excel in these key growth sectors," Mr Weatherill said on Sunday.
