Labor has accused federal Attorney-General George Brandis of ignoring a request to release his ministerial diary, saying he is not taking seriously an order to do.
Labor's shadow Attorney-General Mark Dreyfus lodged a freedom of information request to access a copy of Senator Brandis' diary close to three years ago, which the senator's office argued would take too long to process.
The Administrative Appeals Tribunal then backed an appeal by Mr Dreyfus for Mr Brandis to hand over the diary.
In September of last year, a Federal Court upheld this ruling.
Since then, lawyers for Mr Dreyfus say nothing has happened.
The ABC reported his lawyers have sent a letter to Mr Brandis' legal advisors saying they would ask for a hearing to be granted if the request was not processed, and would argue the attorney-general was acting in contempt.
They also complained that no explanation had been given for the delay.
Mr Brandis' office says once the order has been processed, Mr Dreyfus would receive a response.
