After delivering a body blow to the Liberals in the Victorian state election, Labor has launched an attack on the LNP in marginal Queensland seats ahead of the federal election.
A campaign of letterbox pamphlet drops began on Monday attacking Prime Minister Scott Morrison on issues including hospital funding and cuts to penalty rates.
The campaign follows the Victorian Labor Party's thumping election win over the weekend, with a swing of six points to the incumbent Labor state government.
If repeated federally in 2019, a swing of that size would see up to five coalition MPs lose their seats and deliver government to federal Labor.
One of the Queensland seats being targeted is Dickson, north of Brisbane, held by federal Home Affairs Minister Peter Dutton.

The campaign will add insult to injury, with Mr Dutton missing parliament this week after hurting his arm and undergoing surgery on the weekend.
Other seats targeted include Griffith, Forde, Dawson and Petrie, which was considered a bellwether at the 2016 poll.
Labor state secretary Julie-Ann Campbell said the letterbox material would link residents to a website with more extensive information.
It says Mr Morrison voted against the royal commission into banks and cut $715 million from Queensland hospital funding.
"A Morrison LNP government will just mean more cuts and chaos for Queenslanders," Ms Campbell said.
Labor is recycling many of the tactics used in the by-election in the Queensland seat of Longman earlier this year.

Once the pamphlet campaign ends, volunteers will start knocking on doors in the lead-up to Christmas, to engage with people directly.
