Labor to hold on to both NT seats

Labor has held on to the Darwin seat of Solomon and is likely to hold on to the Northern Territory's other seat or Lingiari.

Labor MP Luke Gosling has retained the seat of Solomon which includes the Darwin urban area.

There was a swing of close to three per cent towards Country Liberal candidate Kathy Ganley but that was not enough to unseat Mr Gosling.

Long-term Labor MP Warren Snowdon is also likely to hold Lingiari, which includes Alice Springs and the rest of the Northern Territory.
