Labor to release NBN policy

Bill Shorten has revealed Labor will release its NBN policy in the coming days and weeks.

Federal Labor will release a fibre optic-focused national broadband network policy in the next few weeks.

Opposition Leader Bill Shorten made the announcement at a NSW Central Coast forum on Friday night.

"We are not going to rip up everything the Liberals have done," he told the audience at Woy Woy.

"We'll have more fibre in our solution than copper."

Mr Shorten also addressed the federal police raids about alleged leaking of NBN documents.

When a local named Gavin asked about internet access, the Labor leader couldn't resist a jibe at the day's events.

"Well, Gavin, I hope that wasn't your real name because you just made a complaint about Malcolm Turnbull's NBN.

"I don't want them raiding your house."
