A report into bullying and harassment allegations levelled against Labor MP Emma Husar is due to be handed to Labor bosses this week, just days out from federal parliament resuming.

The embattled western Sydney MP has been accused of bullying and sexually harassing staff in her electorate office and diverting Labor funds into her personal bank account.

Labor frontbencher Mark Butler quoted reports saying barrister John Whelan's investigation into the claims will be given back to the party on Friday.

"It seems that the investigation that's under way in the NSW branch might be handed to the branch by the end of those week, but I'm only going by the reports," Mr Butler told reporters.

"It's important, I think, for this independent investigation within that branch be allowed to take its course and we'll see happens after that."

The details of a NSW Labor investigation into bullying and harassment into Ms Husar's office were published by BuzzFeed News last week.

It includes claims she flashed Labor frontbencher Jason Clare, was aggressive towards staff, and used taxpayer money to hire a nanny who couldn't work a computer.

Ms Husar said the claims are "absolute lies" aimed at ruining her career, while Mr Clare said the allegation she flashed him three times in his office was "categorically untrue".

Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull last week said the leak showed there was a "civil war" in NSW Labor.
