Labor will move national conference

Labor will move its national conference to avoid a clash with five by-elections due on July 28.

Labor will move its national conference to avoid clashing with the super Saturday set of by-elections on July 28.

Senior leadership of the party met on Friday afternoon to decide to move the date of the Adelaide conference, but no new date has been set.

Labor has accused the government of deliberately picking the date of by-elections in Tasmania, Queensland, South Australia and Western Australia to disrupt the conference.
