Labor wants to boost breast cancer support services with an extra $7 million.

The funds would go to Breast Cancer Network Australia to deliver a telephone counselling service staffed by oncology social workers, expand access to specialist secondary breast cancer nurses and boost services in rural areas, Fairfax reported on Sunday.

Opposition health spokeswoman Catherine King is expected to announce the funding at the AFL's breast cancer awareness match between Melbourne Football Club and Western Bulldogs.
