A blast has killed 12 people aboard a minibus in southeast Turkey, with a landmine suspected.
There were conflicting reports about how the explosion occurred on Thursday near the city of Hakkari, bordering Iran and Iraq. NTV television said the minibus hit a landmine while Dogan news agency suggested an explosion occurred on the minibus.
But a local security source told AFP a landmine was involved.

The civilian vehicle was taking villagers to the city centre when the explosion occurred near the village of Gecitli in Hakkari province, on the border with Iraq and Iran, the source said on condition of anonymity.
Immediate suspicions for the blast fell on the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK), which has been fighting for self-rule in the country's mainly Kurdish southeast since 1984.
