Residents and visitors of a national park near Bundaberg have been told to leave as a large bushfire threatens the area.

Fourteen fire crews are battling the blaze, which is expected to hit parts of the Burrum Coast National Park by 4pm (AEST) Friday.

A bushfire watch and act warning is current for Coonarr and advises those who plan to relocate to leave immediately.

"Firefighters will not be able to protect every affected property and residents and visitors should not expect a firefighter at their door or campground," the warning says.

Campgrounds are already evacuating on advice from the Queensland Fire and Emergency Service.
