Talks of a ceasefire rippled through Israel and Gaza on the seventh day of the Israel-Hamas conflict, but rocket attacks continued to destroy buildings and injure civilians on both sides.
In Gaza City, French Photojournalist and long-term resident of the West Bank, Anne Paq, told SBS News she was disappointed to wake on Tuesday morning to find a rumoured truce between Hamas and Israel had not been delivered.

Ms Paq said rocket fire from Hamas into Israel had slowed overnight amid talks of a ceasefire, but had not stopped altogether.
