The Russian finished the 184-kilometre mountain treck ahead of Colombia's Jarlinson Pantano, and Rafal Majka of Poland.

 

Australian Richie Porte came in 10th.

 

With three stages to go, Briton Chris Froome has retained the overall leader's yellow jersey.
