LeBron James has recorded his 7000th career assist in the Cleveland Cavaliers' 116-105 win over the Charlotte Hornets, becoming the first front-court player in NBA history to reach the plateau.
The 31-year-old, who moved into ninth place on the career scoring list on Friday, is the only player with 27,000 points, 7000 assists and 7000 rebounds.
"I don't know what to say," James said when asked about the achievement on Saturday.
"That's the triple threat of me. To rebound, to pass, to put the ball in the hole a little bit. It's just an honour. I'm just blessed. To be the only one to put up those numbers is pretty cool because this is the game I love. It's the game I watched my whole life growing up, so it's incredible."
James scored 17 of his season-high 44 points in the fourth quarter as the Cavaliers won their fourth straight.

James did it all, making five three-pointers and adding 10 assists and nine rebounds in 43 minutes. He took over in the fourth, scoring 13 straight during one stretch to help the Cavs hold on.
On Friday, James passed Elvin Hayes on the career scoring list with a driving lay-up in the fourth quarter against Miami to reach 27,315 points.
James, who now has 27,359 points, moved past Hakeem Olajuwon earlier this season and could pass Moses Malone (27,409) for eighth place in the next few games.
Patty Mills, meanwhile, was one of six San Antonio players to score double figures during the Spurs' 130-101 victory over the Brooklyn Nets.
The Australian point guard was second highest with 16 points, while Kawhi Leonard top-scored with 30 as San Antonio rebounded from their first road loss of the season.
The Spurs set season highs for points, points in a quarter, points in a half, assists and three-pointers in winning their 14th straight at home over the Nets.
In other games, Marc Gasol and Tony Allen scored 19 points each and the Memphis Grizzlies rolled over the Golden State Warriors 110-89 for their sixth straight win.
Paul George scored a season-high 37 points to lead the Indiana Pacers over the Portland Trail Blazers 118-111.
John Wall had 24 points and 11 assists as the Washington Wizards used a late 11-0 run to beat the Milwaukee Bucks 110-105.
Danilo Gallinari scored 21 points in the Denver Nuggets' defeat of the Orlando Magic 121-113.
James Harden had 18 points, 16 assists and nine rebounds to lead the way for the Houston Rockets in their 109-87 mauling of the Dallas Mavericks for their sixth straight win.
Jimmy Butler scored 31 points, Dwyane Wade added 28 against his former team and the Chicago Bulls held off the struggling Miami Heat 105-100.
