Despite being half a world away, Sydney's German Community were congregating in the dead of night.

At the Goethe Institute there was German food, German beer, and an all German Champions League final.

Bayern Munich were facing up against Jurgen Klopp's Borussia Dortmund - with at least one Bavarian donning his home state's famed leather shorts.
