Australian paceman Brett Lee is expected to announce his retirement from Test cricket this week.
Fairfax reports that a chat with England all-rounder Andrew Flintoff helped to persuade Lee to give up Test cricket.
It's expected that the injury-prone fast-bowler will now concentrate on limited-overs cricket with One Day internationals and the lucrative Twenty20 games.
He won the Wisden Cricketer of the Year award in 2006, was named Australian Test Player of the Year in 2008 and was awarded the Allan Boarder Medal in 2008.
Lee is one of the top all-time Australian wicket-takers, with 310 Test wickets from 76 Tests since his debut in 1999.
He was the first player in Twenty20 International cricket to take a hat trick. He is also the only bowler to take five wickets in one-day internationals at Lord's.
