Brock Lesnar has been banned from the UFC for a year and had his victory over Sydney-based Mark Hunt overturned for doping.
American Lesnar, a WWE star, has also been fined $US250,000 after twice testing positive to performance-enhancing drugs - before and on the day of his UFC 200 bout with Hunt on July 9.
Lesnar beat the New Zealand-born Hunt, who now lives in Australia, by unanimous decision.
The Nevada State Athletic Commission on Thursday (Friday AEDT) unanimously ruled he be fined 10 per cent of his $2.5 million purse from the heavyweight fight, which has been deemed a 'no contest'.
Lesnar won't be able to enter the octagon again until July 2017.
Hunt, who has been pressuring the UFC to more strictly handle drug violations, has called for Lesnar to be stripped of all prizemoney from the fight.
"These cheaters need to be punished," Hunt told Fox Sports in November.
"This is about what's right.
"I don't understand why they (the UFC) don't do something about it. The contract I sign says no doping but how about enforcing these contracts with harsher penalties."
