Victorian Olivia Rogowska has been sent reeling out of the Australian Open, losing to Chinese fifth seed Li Na in the second round.

The French Open champion whipped through the match, winning 6-2 6-2 in 62 minutes.

Apart from a single service break in the first set, Rogowska was never in contention, forced into errors and wild returns.

She also suffered major problems with her ball toss, reducing the impact of her serve.

Li, a finalist at Melbourne Park last year, took three service breaks in the first set and two in the third.

She clinched the match when, on match point, Rogowska hit a wild return which bounced over the sideline.

In the third round, Li will meet Spain's Annabel Medina Garrigues, the 26th seed, who's crushed Belarusian Olga Govortsova 6-1 6-0.
