Liberal MP Ann Sudmalis has released a document showing she has never been a UK citizen.
Ms Sudmalis said at a joint media event with Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull on August 25: "As soon as Bill Shorten puts his paperwork on the table I will."
Mr Shorten on Monday tabled advice from the UK Home Office showing he had been approved to renounce his UK citizenship on June 26, 2006.
Ms Sudmalis, the MP for the NSW seat of Gilmore, released via Twitter on Monday afternoon a photograph of a UK Home Office form known as a Form NQ, dated August 15, 2017.
A Home Office official has signed the form at the section stating: "According to the UKV&I (Visas and Immigration) records from October 1986 there is not trace of the above named person having acquired British citizenship."
