Libs need to stick with Turnbull: Brandis

Attorney-General George Brandis says it's time to end the cycle of replacing leaders, insisting the coalition must stick with Malcolm Turnbull.

Senior Liberal George Brandis says the Liberal Party must stick with Malcolm Turnbull as leader despite shock losses.

"We can't allow a continuation of a cycle of replacing leaders," he told Sky News.

It came after Peta Credlin, Tony Abbott's former chief of staff, suggested Australians were fed up with prime ministers they elected being removed.
