Opposition Leader Tony Abbott will address the party faithful on Brisbane's Southbank, where Labor is expected to hold its corresponding event eight days later.
So far this weekend, the election momentum appears to be going Mr Abbott's way - it started with a positive Nielsen poll and he will undoubtedly benefit from the mayhem engulfing his rivals.
Prime Minister Julia Gillard's attempts to promote a $100 million package aimed at seniors, including training incentives, a work bonus and new rules for reverse mortgages, were overshadowed by two former Labor leaders, Mark Latham and Kevin Rudd.
Mr Latham, once politically very close to Ms Gillard, confronted the prime minister on Saturday at the Royal Queensland Show, the Ekka, accusing her of complaining about his job as a guest reporter for the Nine Network's 60 Minutes.
