Lightning injures 15 at French festival

A music festival in France has been cancelled after 15 revellers were struck by lightning during a thunder storm.

Lightning at a music festival France has injured 15 people, including two seriously, local media reports.

A woman in her 60s and a 44-year-old man were in a critical condition after they were hit directly by the lightning at the Vieux Canal festival in Azerailles in the country's northeast.

A storm began shortly before the beginning of the festival and the lightning struck a tent where people had sought refuge.

The festival was cancelled as result.
