Lion cub to bear claws against Suns in AFL

Brisbane recruit Josh Schache says the aggression shown by teammate Mitch Robinson is what the Lions need to end their AFL losing streak.

Brisbane recruit Josh Schache says Mitch Robinson's fiery display against Geelong must be the template for the Lions in Saturday's Queensland AFL derby against Gold Coast.

The winless Lions host the unbeaten Suns at the Gabba desperate to avoid a humiliation from their southern neighbours.

Schache, who is yet to taste victory in his three-match AFL career after being the No.2 pick in last year's draft, says enforcer Robinson's angry display against the Cats is what more of the Lions need to be doing.

Robinson was easily the Lions' best last weekend but gave the match review panel plenty to look at including a late incident with Cats' skipper Joel Selwood.

That contact sparked a melee and put Robinson on report but the panel later deemed there was insufficient force in the high contact to warrant a suspension.

"Each weekend, you've got to go out there pretty aggressively," Schache said.

"Mitch Robbo showed that last week against the Cats.

"If we can go out there and be aggressive and stamp our authority early, it'll go a long way towards winning it."
