British comedian David Walliams has swum the length of the Thames River, braving its filthy waters, aching muscles and chafed skin to raise money for charity.

British comedian David Walliams has swum the length of the Thames River, braving its filthy waters, aching muscles and chafed skin to raise money for charity.

Walliams emerged from the freezing river triumphant, after cover 225 kilometres in eight days.

He has so far raised over $1 million for Sport Relief.
