Canadian golfer Jamie Sadlowski has the arsenal to pepper some of Royal Sydney's par-four holes with his driver at next month's Australian Open.
Sadlowski, a two-time long-driving champion, was this week confirmed as a first-time starter at the event which tees off on November 17.
The 28-year-old boasts a personal-best drive of 405 metres, and is known for being able to launch the ball an extra 90 metres compared to most rivals on the tour.
It means he has the potential to reach the green from the tee on seven of the 11 par-four holes at Royal Sydney.
However with limited experience in full play, he admits he still has much to learn before he makes the most of his his hard-hitting talent.
"Professional tournament play is very new to me - unlike long drive it requires the entire game," Sadlowski said.
Sadlowski won the World Long Driving Championships in 2008 and 2009, and has not finished any lower than fifth since.
In April he made the call to attempt a professional career, turning out in a Web.com tour event in the United States where he was disqualified for signing an incorrect scorecard.
He was one-under par at the time and in line for a top-50 finish.
He'll also play at the NSW Open at Stonecutters Ridge in western Sydney between November 10-13.
The tournaments in NSW will be his first time playing in Australia.
