Lorenzi, Rublev into Croatia Open final

Andrey Rublev and Paolo Lorenzi have reached the final of the ATP Tour's Croatia Open.

Fourth-seeded Paolo Lorenzi of Italy and lucky loser Andrey Rublev of Russia reached the final of the ATP Croatia Open.

In an all-Italian semi-final, Lorenzi knocked out Alessandro Giannessi 6-2 4-6 6-3 as the Italian seeks his second ATP title.

After winning the first set, Lorenzi wasted a 4-2 lead in the second.

He enjoyed a more commanding lead in the decisive set at 5-2 and waltzed in.

The 19-year-old Rublev eliminated local wild card Ivan Dodig 7-6 (4) 6-1 in his first career semi-final to play for a title for the first time.
