Sydneysiders unsure of where to cast their ballot this weekend need only to look as far as their mobile phone, after local developers created an iPhone app to help locate nearby polling booths.
Real-time guidebook app Axle8 uses data from the Australian Electoral Commission's (AEC) website to point confused electors in the right direction.
The app also incorporates information on opening hours and accessibility information of each polling booth.

"We think voting should fit into your schedule rather than the other way around," Axle8 co-founder Alfred Lo says.
The app is latest in a number of politically-themed iPhone apps to hit the market.
