Love Child getting plenty of attention

The Nine Network's retro drama Love Child is proving a hit with viewers.

There's a lot of affection for retro drama Love Child, which had one of its biggest rating nights since its season launch.

The Nine Network drama is set in 1969 and is based on forced adoptions in Australia.

It was third on Monday with 1.289 million viewers, the second highest rating episode since its launch on February 17 when it had 1.354 million viewers.

Love Child has been an instant hit for Nine and has smothered the Seven Network's imported drama and direct time slot rival Revenge.

Revenge was 11th overall on OzTAM's ratings with 854,000 viewers on Monday, despite coming in off the back of My Kitchen Rules which was the night's number one show.
