Lucy Turnbull resigns from SeaLink board

Lucy Turnbull will stand down as deputy chair of SeaLink Travel Group, the company which runs Captain Cook Cruises, and not seek re-election to the board.

Lucy Turnbull is stepping down from her role as deputy chair of ferry operator SeaLink Travel Group.

SeaLink said Ms Turnbull, the wife of Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull, would not stand for re-election to the board at the company's annual general meeting on October 27.

"Lucy has been a wonderful contributor since she joined the Board in the lead-up to SeaLink's listing on the Australian Securities Exchange in 2013 and has provided significant support to myself and other directors since accepting the role of Deputy Chairman earlier this year," SeaLink chair Andrew McEvoy said in a statement on Friday.
