English batsman Luke Wright has ended his tenure at BBL outfit the Melbourne Stars.

Wright had been ruled out of Saturday's fixture against Sydney Thunder because of delayed concussion.

After discussing his situation with club hierarchy, Wright ended his time with the Stars.

"Obviously it's not the farewell I'd imagined but that's cricket," Wright said in a statement on Friday.

Wright was diagnosed with delayed concussion after being hit during Tuesday's match against the Sydney Sixers.
