Lyon urges Dockers to stand up to Eagles

West Coast have won the past three derbies against Fremantle, and they'll start as favourites in Saturday night's clash in Perth.

Fremantle coach Ross Lyon has urged his team to stand up and be fierce as they attempt to end a three-match losing run against West Coast on Saturday night.

The Dockers have revived their finals hopes with three straight wins, but they enter Saturday night's derby having not tasted victory over West Coast since round three, 2015.

Eagles coach Adam Simpson says star midfielder Sam Mitchell (ankle) will be given up until the last minute to prove his fitness, while Lyon says Dockers midfielder Lachie Neale (knee) is fit to play despite an injury scare.
