US rapper Macklemore has announced an Australian tour, just days after his performance at the NRL grand final.
He will return in February to perform in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne after his triumphant pre-match performance in Sydney on Sunday.
Macklemore performed his gay marriage anthem, Same Love, at the rugby league grand final, despite objections from conservative commentators.
Undeterred by the controversy, the rapper called out "equality for all" at the end of the song, and tweeted after the show the performance had been one of the greatest honours of his career.
He will return Down Under with music from his solo album Gemini which is at number 3 on the ARIA album charts. It features the singles Glorious and Good Old Days featuring Kesha.
