Singer Madonna paid a tearful tribute to the victims on stage by singing French song La vie en rose, accompanied only by a guitar, during a concert in Stockholm.

"It's been very hard for me to get through this show up to this point,” she told the audience.

“So I need to take this moment to acknowledge the tragedy, the tragic killings, assassinations and the senseless endings of precious life that occurred last night in Paris.” She said.
“Why am I up here dancing and having fun when people are crying over the loss of their loved ones?”

Even as she broke into tears, overcome with emotion, the singer said she was determined to carry on.

“I was going to cancel my show tonight,” she said, before adding: “Why should I give that to them?”
