The aspiring Israeli singer who was arrested on suspicion of illegally accessing Madonna's computer and leaking songs from her new album has been indicted on hacking charges.
Adi Lederman was arrested in Tel Aviv last month as part of a joint investigation with America's FBI into the hacking scandal, which prompted the pop superstar to release a slew of her new songs early after unfinished copies emerged on the internet.
The 39-year-old, who auditioned for Israel's TV singing show A Star Is Born in 2012, has now been indicted on charges of computer trespassing, prohibited secret monitoring, copyright infringement and obstructing an investigation.
Lederman faces allegations that he hacked into a number of private cloud and email accounts, including one registered to the office of Madonna's manager Guy Oseary.
He is also accused of leaking the singer's track Give Me All Your Luvin' back in 2012, according to court documents filed in Israel this week and obtained by The Hollywood Reporter.
